LG Mobiles, a worldwide technology and design leader in mobile communications, today unveils the pre-pay addition to its camera phone range with the LG-KC550, a high-spec handset with a 5 megapixel camera and Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens. Taking some of the tech the Viewty uses, the KC550 is seen as a more affordable option for those looking for practicality over design.

LG-KC550’s exceptional digital camera is perfect for capturing special moment to enjoy the very best viewing experience. It boasts a dedicated camera button that enables users to access the most frequently used camera functions and capture images quickly and easily.

With its 30fps video encoding/decoding at D1 (720X480) resolution, users can also enjoy DVD quality movies. Photos, documents and videos can be viewed on a television screen using the handset’s TV output. It also has 6 built-in motion sensitive games, FM radio, MP3 player, video/image editors and support for standard messaging features making it sort of a jack of all trades for phones.
The handset has an “advanced” image stabiliser, and pics can be viewed back on the handset’s 2.4-inch LCD screen while the accelerometer feature automatically rotates images vertically or horizontally for optimal viewing.
