1,100 police officers and police community support officers (PCSOs) in the UK’s Thames Valley area are swapping their mobile phones for BlackBerrys - which will give them access to the police national computer (PNC) system.

βThe BlackBerry will fit in well because it will allow me to get photos and other information about vandalism or anti-social behaviour right from the computer while I am patrolling the streets. As a result, I will be able to stay out patrolling for longer,β PCSO Lori Hale said. News Source
